HeartWatch

HeartWatch is a combination of a pulse Oximeter watch, like Contec Medical Systems CMS50FW, (or Contec Finger Pulse Oximeter CMS50EW) and HeartBeat Android mobile App.

The Pulse Oximeter watch is connected through Bluetooth to the Mobile device: Smartphone, Tablet etc.

The picture on the right side is a photo of the CMS50FW Pulse Oximeter and the HeartBeat mobile App.

The picture on the Left side is a new Pulse Oximeter watch, based on CMS50IW housing, but with new high resolution high sampling rate electronic circuit. This watch sends raw signals and all processing, including computations of SpO2 and HR are made in the HeartBeat App . This computation employes proprietry signal processing algorithms that improves robustness to motion artifact and working in poor circulation conditions.

Why buy HeartWatch ?

HeartWatch is the first product in the new generation medical devices that can help you experience "Dynamic Healthcare" or "Dynamic Medicine". Instead of making a one time measurement of one health parameter, it provides continuous indications of all cardiovascular parameters with indications of wheather or not they are within the desired range and graphs that show trends over time and where your are you compared to the population of your gender and age group.

This enables you to see your physiology changes anytime any where and correlates your physiology with your daily activity.

E.g. when you use a Blood Pressure cuff based device, you can measure your Blood Pressure at the specific time of measurement.

With the HeartBeat devices like HeartWatch, you can see your Blood Pressure as it changes when you do exercise, when you are stressed, during meal, during sleep, after you take medication, after taking supplement, etc..

But this is only the start, you can see how your Blood Pressure is broken down to its two major components:

a. Cardiac Output - How much blood your heart pumps every minute.

b, What is your blood vessels (vascullar) resistance in each moment.

The HeartWatch provides a GRAPHIC USER INTERFACE (Rightside ppicture) that provides continuous display of the following parameters:

a. Pie-Chart that contains the 3 major parameters for Cardiovascular health:

Blood Pressure

Cardiac Output

Oxygen saturation in peripheral blood.

Each segment of the pie changes colors according to the corresponding parameter value.

The colors change from blue, through green, yellow orange and red

Blue indicates value under the desired range, green is within the desired range, yellow, orange and red are above the desired range.

The Pie-Chart colors provide aquick and intuitive indication of the Cardiovascular health at any given time.

In the lower pane, the continuous PPG (PhotoPlethysmoGraph) provides inspection of the raw signal.

The parameters on the left side are:

SVR - Systemic Vascular Resistance that indicates the vascular resistence of the vascular system

CI - Cardiac Index computed as CO divided by BSA (Bodt Surface Area)

SV - Stroke Volume - the amount of blood pumped in each stroke.

HR _ Heart Rate which is the number of heart beats per minute.

BP (Sys/Dia) - Systolic and Diastolic BP for each point in time

SpO2 - Oxygen saturation in peripheral blood.

CO - Cardiac Output which is the amount of blood in liters that is pumped by the heart in each minute.

HeartBeat App works as well

with Contec CMS50EW

The Finger Wireless

Pulse Oximeter.

CMS50FW might be more

convinient to use in a doctor's

office, than the watch.

The graph below present a session that includes a short exercise (jumping up and down 60 times).

The blue continuous wave is the PhotoPlethismpGraph (PPG) signal, where each vertical line is an heart beat.

As a result of the exercise, there is an increase in HR, Systolic BP (to 149 mmHg) and increase in Cardiac Output.

The red circles are measurements of BP by a conventional BP cuff based monitor, and are displayed to show the matching.
